A Peptide Sciences alternative needs to carry the same compounds and show its testing before you order. Peptide Sciences shut down in early 2026, and Janera Science carries nine compounds that appeared in its catalogue, from BPC-157 and TB-500 to Semax, Selank and MOTS-c. Each certificate Janera posts is listed against its lot number and reports purity, quantity, heavy metals, sterility and endotoxin from an independent laboratory.
All Janera Science compounds are supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research use only. They are not for human or veterinary use and have not been evaluated by the FDA.
This page sets out what is known about the closure, which compounds carry over, what a Janera certificate shows, and how ordering works. Janera Science is not affiliated with Peptide Sciences. This page names no other supplier and makes no claim about why Peptide Sciences closed.
What Happened to Peptide Sciences
Peptide Sciences had closed voluntarily by 8 March 2026 and stopped selling its research products. By 8 March 2026 its homepage carried a short notice saying the company had decided to "voluntarily shut down operations and discontinue the sale of our research products" (Internet Archive, 2026).
The notice gave no reason. A law firm's analysis published on 13 March 2026 noted no confirmed public explanation and no announced enforcement action (Luma Lex Law, 2026).
That leaves researchers who ordered from Peptide Sciences with one practical question: where to source the same compounds, with documentation they can check.
Which Peptide Sciences Compounds Janera Carries
Every peptide in the Janera Science catalogue was also listed by Peptide Sciences. An archived copy of the Peptide Sciences homepage from 3 January 2026 lists all nine in its product menu (Internet Archive, 2026).
Vial sizes differ for some compounds, so check the milligram figure before you carry an order over. Lots are released in batches, and a product page states when a compound is out of stock.

What Janera does not carry
Janera sells single compounds only, so blends, capsules and topical products from the Peptide Sciences range have no direct match here. Peptide Sciences also listed multi-peptide blends, capsule products, topical GHK forms and compounds such as Thymosin Alpha-1 and Gonadorelin (Internet Archive, 2026).
A study design that relied on one of those products needs a separate source. For any compound in the table above, the sections below show how to check a Janera lot before ordering.
What a Janera Certificate Shows
Each certificate Janera posts comes from an independent laboratory, carries a lot number, and reports five results: purity, quantity, heavy metals, sterility and endotoxin. The current testing laboratory is Vanguard Laboratory, which issues the certificates posted on the lab results page (Janera Science, 2026).
Each test answers a different question, and a pass on one says nothing about the others. A material can be chromatographically pure and still carry endotoxin, so the tests are reported separately.
Result | Method | What it tells a researcher |
|---|---|---|
Purity | High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) | The main peak's share of all detected material, as a percentage |
Quantity (assay) | Assay against the labelled amount | How many milligrams of peptide the vial holds, compared with the label |
Heavy metals | ICP elemental analysis | Arsenic, cadmium, lead and mercury, each reported against the laboratory's limit of quantitation |
Sterility | USP chapter 71 | Whether viable microorganisms grew from the sample tested |
Endotoxin | Limulus amebocyte lysate (LAL) | Bacterial endotoxin, in endotoxin units, against a stated limit |
Purity and quantity describe the peptide itself. The last three describe contaminants, which matter in cell and tissue work where trace metals, microbes or endotoxin can change a result on their own. Our guide to reading a COA walks through each field.
Where to find a certificate
A Janera certificate can be opened in three places: the lab results page, the QR code on the product packaging, and the order confirmation email. Each posted certificate is lot-specific and listed against its lot number (Janera Science, 2026).
Certificates are posted as each lot is released. The lab results page marks any listed lot whose certificate is not yet posted, so you can see what is available before you order.
How to Move an Order to Janera
Moving an order takes four checks: match the compound, match the vial size, open the lot certificate, and confirm the shipping terms. Each takes a minute and saves a reorder later.
Match the compound. Use the table above to find the Janera product page for each compound on your previous order.
Match the vial size. Several sizes differ from the Peptide Sciences range, so recalculate the number of vials your study needs from the milligram figure.
Open the lot certificate. Find the current lot for the compound on the lab results page and read the five results before you order.
Confirm the shipping terms. Janera ships to addresses within the United States only.
Ordering terms
Janera ships same day on weekday US orders received before 2pm Pacific, and orders over $150 qualify for free US shipping. The same-day terms sit in the footer of every page, and the free-shipping offer sits in the banner.
Who can order: researchers aged 21 or older, who confirm research use on entry to the site.
Returns: sales are final, except for an order that arrives damaged or incorrect, or where a verified quality issue is identified, and claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery (Janera Science, 2026).
Batch updates: a Technical Notifications list sends batch release notices and updated certificates by email.
What Janera Publishes, and What It Does Not
Janera Science publishes chemistry and testing material, and no dosing, reconstitution or storage directions. Every product is sold for in-vitro laboratory research, and the site carries a research-use-only and FDA disclaimer on every page.
The research library covers the structure, synthesis and published laboratory research for most compounds Janera carries, alongside guides to certificates, purity testing and synthesis impurities. Our explainer on what research use only means sets out the terms every order is placed under.
Janera is a chemical supplier. It does not operate as a compounding pharmacy under Section 503A of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, or as an outsourcing facility under Section 503B.
Frequently Asked Questions
Did Peptide Sciences shut down?
Yes. Peptide Sciences posted a notice on its homepage saying it had decided to voluntarily shut down operations and stop selling its research products. An archived copy of its homepage shows the notice in place by 8 March 2026 (Internet Archive, 2026).
Why did Peptide Sciences close?
The company has not given a reason. Its closure notice described the decision as voluntary, and a law firm's analysis published on 13 March 2026 noted no confirmed public explanation and no announced enforcement action (Luma Lex Law, 2026).
Does Janera Science carry the same compounds as Peptide Sciences?
Janera carries nine compounds that Peptide Sciences listed: BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu, CJC-1295 (no DAC), Semax, Selank, MOTS-c, NAD+ and Melanotan II. Some vial sizes differ, and Janera does not sell blends, capsules or topical products.
What does a Janera certificate of analysis include?
Each posted certificate reports HPLC purity, quantity by assay, heavy metals, USP sterility and LAL endotoxin, and is listed against its lot number. The certificates are issued by Vanguard Laboratory and posted on the lab results page.
Can I see the certificate before I order?
Yes. The lab results page lists each lot with its certificate, and the same document is linked from the QR code on the packaging and sent with the order confirmation. Any listed lot without a posted certificate is marked as unavailable on that page.
Order From a Lot You Can Check First
Janera Science posts each certificate against its lot number, so you can read the results for the exact lot before it ships.
